Social Events:

• Welcome reception

The LOC is organising a Welcome reception on Monday 4th October for the AGN participants and on Sunday 10th for the XRB participants. The event will take place at 20:00 h in the conference venue, "St. Nicolas Resort Hotel & Villas" and is free of charge.

• Conference dinner

There will be two Conference Social Dinners, one for the AGN session and one for the "X-ray Binary" session. The Social Dinner of the AGN session will take place at the conference hotel, on Thursday 7 October, at 8pm. The Social Dinner of the XRB session will take place at the Taverna Xrisofilis, on Wednesday 13 October, at 8pm. Both social Dinners are courtesy of the LOC for participants.
The cost for accompanying persons is of EU 70.00 per person, for the AGN Social Dinner. The Price for the XRB Social Dinner has not been defined yet. Tickets for Social Dinners can be purchased at the registration desk, at the Conference venue.

• Organized trips

We plan to organize various excursions during the 9-10 of October weekend:

  - Knossos + Archeological Museum (both days - depending on the demand)
  - The small island of Spinalonga (both days - depending on the demand)
  - Hiking to "Kritsa gorge" - Saturday 9/10
  - visit to: Lato, Kera byzantine church, and "katharo plateau" for a local dinner - Sunday 10/10

The price for each excursion will depend on the participants number. For that reason, it would help to know in advance how many people would like to participate to any of these excursions, and when. Please send us an e-mail (accreting@physics.uoc.gr)    with the following subject "SOCIAL EVENTS", and specify to which excursion you would like to participate and in which of the two proposed dates (10 or 11 of October): e.g. "Knossos +Archeological museum, 10th of October"
